Singer Azawi stings, Eddy Kenzo again over bad leadership and copyright

Swangz Avenue singer and songwriter Priscilla Zawedde also known as Azawi has come out to criticize the presidential Advisor on creatives and the president of Uganda Musicians federation President Eddy Kenzo over his methods of leadership.

In an interview with one of the Youtubers in Uganda, Azawi said Eddy Kenzo should not shy away from meeting the Musicians with issues in the industry, there is no need to send them representatives to speak to them when he is available.

Azawi added that Eddy Kenzo has not served the interests of the musicians but instead he has served the interests of the government and those using him citing he is being used and fooled because they will not give him  the copyright.

“I pity Eddy Kenzo and I think he doesn’t understand what he started, those men (government) cannot let him have the copyright because they know the implications to the industry and everyone involved”, Azawi said.

She further revealed that she is not working or being sent by Bobi wine to speak, she is acting on her own behalf however they have a common understanding and approach to things.

“You people should stop blaming Bobi Wine  for my speaking, he has never sent me to say anything and I speak for myself. However we have a common way we see things and understanding,” Azawi revealed

Together with Zafaran they revealed how Eddy Kenzo has not performed in his position as the president of the Musicians Federation and no one has benefited from his leadership.

“We are not fighting Eddy Kenzo but we are speaking the truth, he has not helped anyone especially the young artists, we don’t need collaborations, we only need services as artists” singers Azawi and Zafaran said in an interview.
